In the US alone, Public Relations (PR) is a $14 billion industry. PR does two things especially well, one is crisis communications and the other is getting you in front of an audience you wouldn’t have been able to otherwise, such as a newspaper or television station. The second part of that is you giving money to someone else to have someone say something nice about you. Now that we all have media available to us at all times, not enough of us are using social media to help highlight the stories of other people. It costs you nothing to post to social media and if you would like to have more people see what you publish, say something nice about someone else.
